1. Acceptance
By using ForgeMyFile ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. The service
ForgeMyFile provides client-side file conversion tools. All conversion happens in your browser; no files are uploaded to or processed by our servers. The site is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the files you convert and the use you make of converted output.
- You must not use the site to convert content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or violates applicable laws (including but not limited to copyright law, export control law, or laws against fraud or impersonation).
- You must not attempt to disrupt the site, attack other users, or use automated tooling to scrape or stress the site.
- You must not circumvent or misuse the advertising on the site (for example, by clicking ads with intent to defraud advertisers).
4. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the conversion tools are accurate, reliable, suitable for any particular purpose, free of bugs, or that they will preserve formatting, fidelity, or metadata of your files. Always keep a copy of the original file until you have verified the converted output meets your needs.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForgeMyFile and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Third-party services
The site loads advertising, analytics, and font resources from third parties. Their privacy policies and terms apply to those interactions. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
7. Open-source libraries
The conversion tools use open-source libraries (jsPDF, pdf-lib, pdf.js, mammoth, docx, JSZip, FileSaver, Papa Parse, heic2any). Each library retains its original license; see the project's LICENSE file for details.
8. Changes to the service
We may add, remove, or change tools at any time. We may also discontinue the site without notice.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
